Styles P, the pre-eminent ghost has made short work of other rapper’s beats and arrangements in what has been a busy run of late. Here’s to Styles burying himself in anguish in order to work out his writer’s block with “tactical force”. Element has the pair rapping over a unmixed version of the James Blake beat, originally conceived for Kendrick Lamar.
Nino Man enlisted to help on the record, is a newly minted member of Jadakiss’ So Raspy imprint. The video pits the pair on the casting couch before what it appears to be video shoot. The production assistant clumsily pushes the camera slider, interrupting the flow of their conversation. The camera then pans to the production assistant trying to sneak a selfie with the pair on the casting couch.
The two rappers become increasingly annoyed by his behaviour until they reach a boiling point and walk off set. The introduction now complete, the pair resume their seated position and deliver their 32’s expressedly with animated hand gestures. At one point, Styles even does a phantom german suplex to demonstrate his ruggish ways.
Styles P’s EP The Story of Ghost came out in December.
