“Africa, One of A Kind” is a song Angelique Kidjo dedicated to the motherland, Africa which has fusion of three languages, Bambara, English (Nigerian Pidgin) and Yoruba.
Prior to the song, Mr Eazi quoted that “This is the most important song I have done to date.” Mr. Eazi has composed for us such an amazing duet, an ode to our beloved African continent.
Moreover, “Africa, One of A Kind” is off Angelique Kidjo’s forthcoming project, ‘Mother Nature‘ album which is scheduled to be available later next month. It was filmed in Benin and also features Salif Keita as a special guest. The dance is the Gogbahoun from my village Ouidah!!!
This album is a love letter to Mother Earth and all the values we hold dear: truth, trust, love, connection. If there’s anything the pandemic has taught us, it’s that we are all a part of the same ecosystem—this planet is all we have.
You can pre-save ‘Mother Nature‘ album.
